Ubisoft+ subscription service headed to PlayStation – Destructoid

Yo dawg, I heard you like subscriptions…

Following on from yesterday’s update on the revamped PlayStation Plus service, publisher Ubisoft has announced that it plans to bring its own paid subscription service, Ubisoft+, to PlayStation platforms.

The service, already available on PC, Stadia, and Luna devices, includes over 100 titles from the Ubisoft catalog, including games from the Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, and Watch Dogs franchises. The paid service also includes classics from Ubisoft’s past, including titles such as Beyond Good and Evil, Prince of Persia, Child of Light, The Settlers, and Silent Hunter.

In addition to offering full Ubisoft+ subscriptions to PlayStation players, Ubisoft is looking to offer a scaled-down version of its package for inclusion in the revamped PlayStation Plus subscription. This will include the Ubisoft+ Classics collection, which hopes to compile a continuously expanding range of 50 classic titles — all of which will be made available to download for all PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers.

Ubisoft had originally announced its intention to bring the Ubisoft+ service to Xbox, but has yet to offer a date for this endeavor. You can read further details on the revamped PlayStation Plus service in our previous articles. The new PlayStation Plus service is expected to launch next month, though Ubisoft did not offer a timeline for its own subscription inclusion plans.
