Ukraine plans to use NFTs for every single piece of art or history amid Russia’s invasion.
Amidst the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine and its subsequent destruction, the Russian military is destroying Ukraine’s architectural marvels, museums, and other cultural sites. So Ukraine plans to digitize and use NFTs for every single piece of art or history announced by the President of the Blockchain Association of Ukraine, Michael Chobanian. This can immortalize & save its architectural marvels, museums, and other cultural sites. Ukraine has launched a Museum of War NFTs collection to raise crypto funds and preserve the memory of its ongoing war with Russia.
Ukraine plans to use NFTs to save a piece of art or history:
It’s a national project, not a private project; it’s what we do as the Blockchain Association of Ukraine, and this way no one can delete it. The project is a blockchain-community-led initiative and NEAR Protocol will be the first blockchain partner of the project. The NFT-ization of Ukraine’s artifacts will prevent corrupt government officials from stealing items during unpredictable times like these.
The vice prime minister of Ukraine and the minister of digital transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, announced the launch of the NFT collection, While Russia uses tanks to destroy Ukraine, we rely on revolutionary blockchain tech. The first government NFT project was Ukraine’s MetaHistory NFT Museum, which was created to preserve facts about the war intended to defy. It is extremely important to bring all the Ukrainian heritage on the chain and offer it to the world and preserve it forever.
According to the museum website, All the funds from the sale will go directly to the official crypto-accounts of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine to support the army and civilians. Ukraine has already leveraged crypto and blockchain to finance its defense against Russia’s invasion, raising over $135 million in crypto from donors around the world by mid-May, analytics firm Crystal Blockchain. It will feature 5,000 to 7,000 NFTs priced at around $450 each, sold over the Ethereum blockchain.
