Users of Samsung’s older foldable phones have been waiting for the Android 14 update for a few weeks now. And some of them got rewarded, as the carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 received the Android 14 update in the US yesterday.

Now, the factory-unlocked versions of the phones have started getting the update in the US.

Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold 3 get Android 14 update in the US

The Android 14 update is now available for the factory-unlocked versions of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the US. The update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 comes with firmware version F711U1UEU5HWL1, and it is available on US Cellular’s network in the country.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is getting the update with firmware version F926U1UEU4HWL1. It is available on US Cellular’s network as well. More carriers could release the new update to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the next few days. The updates also bring the December 2023 security patch to both phones.

If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 3 or the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the US, you can now check for the new Android 14 update. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
