Police in Uttar Pradesh have halted the ambitious plans of a local resident in Ambedkar Nagar who ingeniously transformed a car into a makeshift helicopter!
Ishwar Deen, the innovative creator, invested over two-and-a-half lakh rupees into his project, only to be instructed by authorities to dismantle the makeshift rotor attached to the roof of his car, which gave it the appearance of a chopper, as reported by ANI.
Ishwar, a resident of Khajuri Bazar, was en route to a workshop to get his ‘car copter’ painted when a traffic policeman intercepted him, imposing a fine for unauthorized modifications. The distinctive vehicle was impounded by the police and later released upon payment of the fine.
A video showcasing his creation parked outside an Ambedkar Nagar police station has garnered significant attention on social media, drawing comments from users. The footage depicts a crowd of onlookers and police officers inspecting the vehicle.
Ishwar’s modified car also features a tail rotor of a helicopter affixed to the boot, adding to its unconventional appearance. He expressed intentions to offer his eye-catching creation for unique wedding transportation and other special occasions.
“I transformed the car to provide bookings during the wedding season, allowing my family to earn extra income,” Ishwar explained. “The police issued a fine of Rs 2,000 and ordered the removal of the modified portion of the car. I invested Rs 2.5 lakh and dedicated countless hours to this project.”
He clarified that his ‘chariot’ was intended solely for seasonal use during weddings and would not operate on regular roads. Ishwar highlighted similar vehicles operating in other regions such as Bihar and Pratapgarh.
The police justified their actions citing safety concerns as the primary reason for confiscation. They emphasized that the car was modified without proper authorization under the Motor Vehicles Act.
