From Keke Palmer serenades to Super Bowl Halftime Show announcements, Usher‘s 100-show My Way Las Vegas Residency has been nothing less than iconic.

The singer celebrated the final concert of the residency over the weekend as the crowd and his backup dancers cheered for him and as he took a moment to collect himself onstage. After nearly a minute in tears, he continued by singing “Without You,” his song with David Guetta.

“God bless you,” he told the crowd. “I love you.”

Usher also shared a sweet clip from a BBC interview from 2004, where he said at the time: “I am such a theatrical artist. If I did decide to go to Las Vegas, it would be the most phenomenal thing you’ve ever seen in your life… It will be a phenomenal show.”

Sharing the video, Usher wrote: “I saw it then… Look at me now.”

The musician’s sexy performances made headlines all year. Over the summer, Usher was pulled into a social media rant by Keke Palmer’s ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson who wrote, “It’s the outfit tho… you a mom,” after a video went viral of Usher serenading the singer. (The debacle led to Palmer starring in Usher’s video for single “Boyfriend.”)

The following month, when he brought his residency to Paris, he skipped serenading Gabrielle Union with a joke: “Let’s not get carried away. Y’know, this is Dwyane Wade — I ain’t crazy! That man will knock my whole head off and then dunk it.”

Usher will be returning to Vegas in February to perform as the headliner for the Super Bowl Halftime Show. He last performed at the Super Bowl in 2011 when he joined Will.i.am on stage for “OMG.”

The musician is also set to release his first album since 2018’s A with Zaytoven. He’ll drop Coming Home, led by the single “Good Good” featuring Summer Walker and 21 Savage, on Feb. 11. The singer’s last solo LP came in 2016 with Hard II Love.

The Vegas run of shows served as his second in Vegas after hosting his first in 2021 at the Coliseum.
