Video compares Toyota Hyryder strong hybrid S, G & V variants

Toyota launched their first ever mid size SUV, Hyryder in the Indian market recently. The car was jointly developed with Maruti Suzuki in India and Maruti’s version of the same is also available under the name Grand Vitara. The Toyota Hyryder is a premium mid-size SUV with a feature that no other SUV in its segment has. A strong hybrid system. This makes the car one of the most fuel efficient SUVs in the segment. The car has started reaching dealerships and we have also seen videos of the same online. Here we have another video, where a S, G and V variants of the strong hybrid versions of Hyryder are compared.

The video has been uploaded by The Car Show on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger compares the base S variant with G and V which are the mid and top-end trim of Hyryder strong hybrid version. He starts with the exterior differences and then moves to the interior. The base S variant comes with halogen projector headlamps, dual-function LED DRLs, 17 inch steel rims, all LED tail lamps, chrome garnish on the tailgate and request sensors on the front doors. The G variant also offeres the same features and more. Instead of halogen projectors, the G variant gets LED lights, Instead of steel rims, the SUV gets 17 inch dual-tone sporty looking alloy wheels.

The G variant offers UV cut window glasses, roof rails which were missing in the base variant. The top-end V variant offers all the features that are mentioned above. Both G and V get roof rails and panoramic sunroof however only the top-end V variant gets 360 degree camera feature. In terms of looks, all the variant look the same and have only minor differences. The price for the base S variant is Rs 15.11 lakh, ex-showroom, G variant is Rs 17.49 lakh, ex-showroom and V variant is Rs 18.99 lakh, ex-showroom. All three variants get rear defogger as standard but, only the G and V variant get a rear windscreen wiper.

As we move in, the base S variant gets fabric door pads, hard plastic on the dashboard and other panels. The seats are fabric and it is finished in brown and black, dual-tone. The car comes with dual-airbags, a small touchscreen infotainment screen, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, cruise control, push button start/stop, full digital instrument cluster and so on. In the G variant, the door pads are leatherette material but, the seats are still fabric. Other than that, the G variant gets a larger 9 inch touchscreen infotainment system, tweeters, HUD, side airbags, wireless phone charger, auto dimming IRVM and so on. The dashboard also gets a leather insert which gives it a premium look.

The V variant gets leatherette upholstery. The front seats are vetilated and gets as many as 6 airbags. The dual-tone theme continues in the cabin and it offers all the features that are mentioned above. All three variants get adjustable headrests and seat belts for rear passengers. Automatic climate control is also a standard feature. The vlogger mentions the the G variant of Hyryder feels like a value for money product.
