Vivo Y35 5G receives TENNA certification, key details revealed

Chinese phone maker Vivo launched the 4G variant of the Vivo Y35 smartphone in August. This device comes powered by the Snapdragon 680 chipset and is currently available in India and is at Rs 18,499 (price on the company’s official site). Now, the company is planning to launch the 5G version of the Vivo Y35 handset in the Chinese market. According to a report by GizmoChina, an upcoming mid-range phone from the company (with the model number V2230A) was approved by the TENAA authority of China. The TENAA listing revealed all the key specifications of the upcoming device which is expected to be the Vivo Y35 5G smartphone.

As per the report, no information about the launch date of the Vivo Y35 5G is available yet. However, considering Chinese certifications, the company is expected to launch the device soon in its domestic market.

Vivo’s Y35 5G is likely to sport a 6.51-inch LCD panel that will offer an HD+ resolution. The report doesn’t mention the name of the chip that will power the upcoming phone but claims that the device will feature a 5G-enabled chipset that clocks at 2.2GHz.

The smartphone is expected to be available in four different RAM variants — 4GB, 6GB, 8GB and 12GB memory options. Meanwhile, the company may offer four storage options — 64GB, 128GB, 256 GB, and 512GB storage variants for the handset.

Moreover, the device’s 3C certification has also confirmed that it will pack a 5000mAh battery unit that will support 18W fast charging. The handset will also come equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and will run Android 12 OS out-of-the-box.
