Royal Enfield launches limited-edition Shotgun 650 in India. Only 25 units available with unique custom paint, LED turn indicators, and a powerful 648cc engine.

Royal Enfield has recently added another beast to their outstanding two-wheeler portfolio by launching the Shotgun 650 across the Indian market.

The premium bike was first displayed at last year’s Motoverse event, also known as Ridermania. As the Shotgun 650 has been launched as a limited-edition model, the Chennai-based manufacturer has decided to roll out only 25 units initially.

The booking can be made through the official website of the Royal Enfield as well as at its authorised dealerships. While many bike enthusiasts in India were eagerly waiting for this model, the company would choose the first 25 customers via a lucky draw.

Royal Enfield has already begun the delivery of the Shotgun 650, with a rider from Chandigarh becoming the lucky man to receive the very first unit. A video of the bike delivery was dropped on a car-related YouTube channel named Garage Reviews.

As seen in the vlog, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 comes in a customised paint scheme. The fuel tank features a gradient pattern as the front portion is painted in a metallic black colour along with transitions from deep to light blue. It gets a neon green outline as well, while the Royal Enfield logo has the same colour. Several piano-black elements such as the front fender and engine cover enhance the look of the motorcycle.

According to the vlogger, the design of the Shotgun 650 is quite similar to that of the previously launched Royal Enfield Meteor 650. However, there are some key differences between both bikes. The Shotgun 650 has a more muscular look and its turn indicators feature LED lights, while they are halogen in the Super Meteor.

Though the bike comes with two seats, the customer has opted to remove the rear one, making the overall look more minimalistic. The rear portion of the Shotgun 650 also gets a unique design as the exhaust pipes are mounted outwards. In the majority of the other Royal Enfield bikes, the exhaust pipes are close to the frame. As revealed in the video, the buyer has paid Rs 4.91 lakh for the Shotgun 650, which has a price tag of Rs 4.25 (ex-showroom).

The Shotgun 650 gets the power from a 648cc, parallel-twin, oil-cooled engine, which is also offered in the Super Meteor 650. The engine, paired with a six-speed gearbox, is capable of generating a maximum power of 46 hp at 7,250rpm and a peak torque of 52.3Nm at 5,650rpm.

Other fascinating features of the motorcycle include the Wingman application and a digi-analogue instrument cluster with the Tripper navigation system.
