Does It Ever Drive You Crazy

The singer recently kicked off The Show: Live on Tour and has been moving through selections from One Direction’s discography from city to city

Most of the arenas Niall Horan has booked out on The Show: Live on Tour, in support of his third studio album The Show, he first performed in with his four One Direction bandmates by his side. On Tuesday evening, he headlined Manchester’s AO Arena, more than a decade after the boy band’s Take Me Home tour packed the venue with over 40,000 fans. Standing on his own this time, Horan reminisced on the years gone by with a cover of One Direction’s “Night Changes.”

The 2014 single has become a staple in the setlist on The Show: Live on Tour, which kicked off in late February. Horan has performed “Night Changes” during his set nearly every night, with the exception of the nights in Dublin and London where he swapped it out for the Four deep cut “Stockholm Syndrome.”

On his last run of live shows, 2018’s Flicker world tour, Horan performed “Fool’s Gold” from Four and “Drag Me Down” from One Direction’s final album Made in the A.M. on a nightly basis.

During a recent show at London’s Wembley Arena, the same location where One Direction was formed during the bootcamp portion of The X Factor, Horan took a moment to acknowledge just how fast the night changes.

“When I was stood practically where I am right now about 14 years ago this July, no way did I ever think that my life would change that drastically, first of all” he told the audience. “And the fact that I never thought 14 years later I’d still be standing here. Some magic things have happened in this building. I’m so glad to be back on the stage. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for all of you.”
