Good morning Tech Fam, here’s a quick tech update for you to catch on:

What’s new today: Meta’s next VR headset is on the way; Binance is helping the South Korean city of Busan “grow crypto adoption within the city and beyond.

Fast-Trach Insights: Google has made it easier for developers to create Android apps connecting various devices; Is RBI’s stance against crypto worrying?

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance announced Friday that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Busan Metropolitan City. Busan, located on the southeastern tip of the Korean peninsula, is the second largest city in South Korea with approximately 3.4 million residents.

While talking to India Today, former Finance Secretary of India Subhash Chandra Garg said that RBI wants private cryptocurrencies banned. “RBI promises to start a pilot of official wholesale digital currencies this year. Whether that would be cryptocurrency or something else we don’t know. It is impossible to stop the development of blockchain-crypto-graph-based businesses, assets, and currencies,” he said.

American tech giant Google has been trying to make it easier for developers to create Android apps connecting various devices. Google is launching a new cross-device software development kit (SDK) that contains the tools developers need to make their apps play nice across Android devices, eventually non-Android phones, tablets, TVs, cars, and more.

The Telangana police have now been equipped with what they call a “third eye,” which can keep a 360-degree watch on everything that happens in any corner of the state – be it a road accident, a fire mishap, a medical emergency, a natural calamity, a burglary or even a suspected terrorist operation.
