When Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty arrived in a supercar, superbike and Rolls-Royce
Bollywood celebrities seen driving or being driven in flashy cars and SUVs is not a new thing. Usually, most celebrities are seen in luxury vehicles from brands like Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi and Land Rover. However, a couple of years ago, the cast of the Bollywood movie ‘Sooryavanshi’ broke headlines by arriving for a media event in their rarely-seen Lamborghini Urus and Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
During a media event for the film ‘Sooryavanshi’ held a couple of years ago, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar arrived on a Honda CBR650F, which he was riding with all protective gear, including helmet, riding jacket and boots. Being a brand ambassador of Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India, Akshay Kumar chose the CBR650F, which was eventually replaced by the more powerful and aggressive-looking CBR650R. However, for its tractable and refined inline-four engine, the CBR650F is still a very in-demand motorcycle in the used two-wheeler market.

After some time, the director of the movie, Rohit Shetty, arrived in his bright yellow-coloured Lamborghini Urus, with himself behind its steering wheel. Rohit Shetty was one of the first owners of the Urus in the Bollywood fraternity, as he was followed by other celebrities like Ranveer Singh and Kartik Aryan. While Ranveer bought an orange-coloured Urus for himself, Kartik went ahead for a black shade for his Urus.
A few minutes later, another popular face and actor from the movie Ajay Devgn arrived for the media event in his black-coloured Rolls-Royce Cullinan, in which he was being chauffeured by his driver. Ajay was the first Bollywood personality to purchase a Cullinan for himself. A few weeks after his big-ticket purchase, renowned Bollywood producer and the head of T-Series, Bhushan Kumar, also purchased a red-coloured Cullinan for himself.

This star-studded arrival of Bollywood celebrities in such premium vehicles attracted the attention of many. Usually, Bollywood personalities are seen in sedans and SUVs from German luxury brands. However, cars like Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Lamborghini Urus are not as common on Indian roads as the other luxury offerings from German brands.
Both Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Lamborghini Urus are brought to India as direct imports in limited numbers and rank as two of the most expensive SUVs one can buy in India. On the other hand, the Honda CBR650F was a relatively affordable motorcycle by superbike standards. Even today, its replacement, the CBR650R, is one of the most affordable inline-four motorcycles on sale in India.
