. If you’re using Windows 11, then you have to move the Taskbar to the top by making changes in the Registry. Tap the Windows key and type “registry” in the search bar and open “Registry Editor” from the search results.

Step 2:

Next, copy “Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckRects3” and enter it into the Registry Editor’s address bar, and hit Enter. 

Step 3:

On the next page, double-click on the “Settings” key available on the right and then look for the 00000008 row (usually, it’s the 2nd row).

Step 4:

Now, change the value 03 to 01 right below FE in the 5th column. 
 

Step 5:

Now, use the “Ctrl + Shift + Esc” keyboard shortcut on Windows 11 to open the Task Manager and then restart the PC/Laptop. 
 

How to move Taskbar icons to the Left Side on Windows 11

If you are one of those Windows 11 users who don’t like the center-aligned Taskbar icons, then, Windows 11 has a built-in option to change the Taskbar icon alignment to the left. Here are the steps to follow.

Step 1. Simply, Right-click on the Taskbar and then open “Taskbar settings“.

Step 2. Next, click on “Taskbar behaviours” to expand the menu and then select left in the “Taskbar alignment” drop-down menu.

Step 3. And it’s done! The Taskbar icons will be moved to the left on your Windows 11 PC.
