Xiaomi axes Xiaomi 14 Pro global variant, vanilla and Ultra models still expected: report

0 19

Report claims Xiaomi 14 Pro will “definitely” not launch globally

Xiaomi has reportedly stopped development of the HyperOS global ROM for the Xiaomi 14 Pro. The report from Xiaomiui claimed that the Chinese brand has not had any HyperOS global tests in the last two months. The publication is sure about there being no global unveiling for the Pro model, which launched in October in China.

However, the phone’s smaller sibling, the Xiaomi 14 is still expected to make both a global and Indian debut. The device was spotted on India’s BIS certification site while the Pro model wasn’t. Further, we spotted the Xiaomi 14 Ultra on EEC certification with its global model number. This points towards a global launch for this device which is expected to be unveiled next year even in China.

Xiaomiui report also claimed that the brand has been actively developing Global ROM for the Xiaomi 14 vanilla model, further solidifying the rumours of a global launch. With the Vivo X100 series having its global launch this month, and Samsung and OnePlus unveiling their flagships in January, Xiaomi is undoubtedly taking its time before making a move.

Meanwhile, tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo post has tipped the colour options for Xiaomi’s next Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is expected to be available in at least three colour options including a blue colour with a glass finish and black and orange colour options with a silicone-feel back panel.
