Youths use Mahindra Scorpio for bursting firecrackers; Punished by Gujarat police [Video]

Burning firecrackers is a common practice in India, especially during Diwali. A video of a group of youngsters in Ahmedabad became viral on the Internet after they did stunts with firecrackers on a moving Mahindra Scorpio. Here is what happened after the video became viral.

The video that became viral on the Internet shows a group of youngsters launching sky shooters from the roof of a moving Mahindra Scorpio. The video shows that the Scorpio is moving on the public roads and a few people are also sitting on the bonnet and the roof of the car. There are people coming out of the window of the SUV too.

After the video became viral, Ahmedabad Police took cognisance and started looking for these youths. They were finally detained by the police. However, Ahemdabad Police did not formally arrest them. Instead, the youngsters were made to do sit-ups. A video of the punishment doled out by the police was posted by the official Twitter handle of Ahmedabad Police.

Firecrackers are dangerous and can cause accidents. Using them in this way could have caused a fire incident. In the past, firecrackers have started fires and this could have gone in the same way.

Doing such stunts on public roads is also illegal and the police can issue challans. We are not sure if Ahmedabad Police has imposed any monetary fine for dangerous driving on the youths.
