Zachary Levi’s next is a Bollywood film? Shazam star says ‘I have been wanting to see RRR, gotta watch it!’ | Hollywood

Zachary Levi feels ‘blessed’ that he gets to live his dream of being an actor. And language isn’t a barrier for him at all. Indian films have been shining globally, and the actor has been taking note of that too. “I have been wanting to see RRR, I have heard great things about it. I gotta go and watch that!,” he exclaims.

With the recent increase in cross-pollination of Indian talent working in the West, a song and dance Hindi film is next on his list.

“I have quite a few South Asian friends-Indian and Pakistani. I have had love for your culture always. I have not got a chance yet to visit India, I really want to get out there. I have heard such wonderful and beautiful things about it, and of course I already know how the people are!,” he gets excited.

Talking more about his Indian masala film dream, he continues, “Heck yeah man, I would love to do an Indian film, a Bollywood film. Like I said, I have a lot of love for the people. You guys have so much passion and life that you bring to your films. I would love to be able to collaborate with Indian artistes and filmmakers. Maybe it will be dance, maybe action, I don’t know, but I think it will be a lot of fun.”

While he expresses his excitement for all that, he has his own film Shazam: Fury of the Gods, a sequel to the 2019 original, which has released in India. When working on a second instalment of any film, is it difficult for an actor to get back into the same zone of the character they played once before? Did he have to watch the first part all over again?

Levi laughs, “I pretty much remember where I left it off. I recognised that the character is three years older now. The toughest bit depends on the superhero you play. Like mine has a lot of flying, and to do that, you have to wear these harnesses, which are torture diapers! They are not very comfortable, they chafe, cut, bruise. But it’s a small price to pay, to get to fly and be a superhero.”
