The Tata Nexon EV, in its current form, comes with a 129hp electric motor that generates 245Nm of torque. The system is coupled to a 30.2kWh battery pack and helps the vehicle attain a claimed ARAI certified range of 312km.

2022 Tata Nexon EV long-range launch soon

The 2022 Tata Nexon EV long-range will soon debut in India on May 11th, 2022. The much-anticipated product from the indigenous auto-giant is expected to bring in substantial mechanical changes as well as a wave of cosmetic and features upgrade. The 2022 Tata Nexon EV is primarily expected to better the current generation car in terms of range.

The new 2022 Nexon EV is likely to bring along a larger capacity battery pack to boost the range of the car. The current battery pack which is a 30.2kWh high-density lithium-ion battery pack might be upgraded to a larger 40kWh unit. This could bring the current ARAIN certified range of 312km on the Nexon EV to 400km.

Along with this Tata Motors is expected to bring along additional changes to cope with the larger battery pack. Mechanically, the 2022 Tata Nexon EV long range might employ additional chassis braces, updated suspension, and stronger construction components. Tata Motors is likely to provide a rear disc brake setup to increase the stopping power. Although there is no word on any changes to the electric motor, it can be assumed that the power delivery will be tweaked to haul added weight.

Cosmetic changes in terms of reprofiled bumpers, redesigned alloys, restyled lighting assembly, added features both on the exteriors and interiors can be expected. New paint schemes can also be on offer.
