Apple iPhone SE 4 could have this iPhone 14 feature

0 32

Apple iPhone SE 4, which is expected to launch in 2024, is said to have a design similar to that of the iPhone 14. It has now been reported that the iPhone SE 4 will also use the same battery as the iPhone 14.

The information comes from MacRumors, and according to its sources, the prototypes of iPhone SE 4 (identified as D59), are equipped with Li-Ion batteries bearing model code A2863. This is the same battery used in the iPhone 14, with a capacity of 3,279 mAh.

The fourth-generation iPhone SE uses the same battery as the iPhone 14, known as the A2863 battery. This is a cost-cutting measure by Apple, as they have not developed new batteries for the iPhone SE 4.

However, compared to the battery used in the third-generation iPhone SE, the A2863 battery has an increase of over 1250mAh, potentially providing longer battery life for the user. It is worth noting that Apple has allegedly created entirely new batteries for the iPhone 16 Pro, which have enhanced thermal capabilities.

To keep costs low, Apple may reuse an existing battery for the iPhone SE 4 rather than create new components. This aligns with their previous decision for the iPhone SE, which used the same battery as the older iPhone 8.

Furthermore, the fourth-generation iPhone SE will feature a newly designed iPhone 14-based look. It will also be equipped with an Action button and USB-C port, as we have previously reported.

As this is a pre-production model, the specifications are subject to change. The prototype units of the iPhone SE 4 use the battery specified in document number 1. However, Apple’s plans may change as the device is still far from release.
