The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation has introduced three metro feeder buses for the city, set to operate from Monday.

The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), in its latest move, has introduced three new metro feeder buses.

The buses will operate from today onwards. These brand-new feeder bus services will operate from various locations across the city and will look forward to making multiple trips both ways every day.

These buses include the MF-15A from JP Nagar Metro Station, the MF-16 from Shanthinagar TTMC, and the MF-16A from Shanti Nagar TTMC.

New BMTC Metro Feeder Buses: Detailed Routes

  • MF-15A: These buses will ply from the JP Nagar Metro Station to Jambu Savari Dinne via RV Dental College, Puttenahalli Cross, Brigade Millennium, and Kothanur Dinne. While two buses will operate on these routes, they will make a total of 40 trips both ways per day.
  • MF-16: These buses will ply from the Shanthinagar TTMC to Shanthinagar TTMC via Corporation cle, KR Market, Mysore Road Metro Station, Hosakerehalli Cross, Srinivasa Nagar, North Road, Lalbagh West Gate, and Lalbagh Main Gate. Four of these buses will operate on the routes, which will make 39 trips both ways per day.
  • MF-16A: These buses will ply from the Shanthinagar TTMC to the Shanthinagar TTMC via Lalbagh Main Gate, Lalbagh West Gate, North Road, Srinivasanagar, Hosakerehalli Cross, Mysore Road Metro Station, KR Market, and Corporation Circle. Four buses of this route number operate on the roads and will make 40 trips both ways per day.

Earlier in October 2023, the BMTC introduced a few new non-AC metro feeder buses, including the MF-9 from Hoodi metro station to KR Puram, the MF-15: JP Nagar station to JP Nagar 7th Phase (Brigade Gardenia), the MF-19 from Jayanagar 9th Block round trip, and the MF-21 from Banashankari to BTM Layout (Kuvempunagar). Later in December, the bus operator introduced eight new metro feeder routes.

BMTC’s QR Code for feeder buses

The development comes days after the BMTC, which operates over 150 buses on 46 feeder routes, introduced a QR code feature at 40 metro stations for feeder bus passengers. With these services, passengers have been allowed to access information regarding schedules, live tracking, availability, departure time, maps, and more.

“To encourage use of First & Last mile connectivity, BMTC is providing information through QR Code which is displayed in the trains & at METRO Station exit. Commuters & Public are requested to make use of this facility to enhance their public travel experience,” the BMTC wrote in an official tweet.
