Following the three-year hiatus, the Auto Expo has made a comeback and it has brought along with it a number of new vehicles from a multitude of different automakers from the country. Concept eVX

Maruti Suzuki commenced the Auto Expo 2023 by unveiling the brand’s first all-electric mid-size SUV concept eVX. The 4.3m-long eVX concept, which is based on an exclusive EV architecture is being developed in collaboration with Toyota, and has a 60kWh battery and a 550km-plus range.

Maruti Suzuki also took the sheets off of the CNG iteration of its highly popular subcompact SUV Brezza. The 1.5-liter K15C DualJet engine that powers the Ertiga CNG is anticipated to also power the Brezza CNG. One of the busiest booths at Auto Expo 2023 was the British automaker MG Motor’s, where the automaker unveiled the refreshed Hector and Hector Plus SUVs. The company at the event first started with the price announcements of the vehicles. The all-new Hector will start at Rs. 14.73 lakh and will go all the way up to Rs. 20.80 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. Both SUVs have an extensively revised appearance, an entirely new interior, and ADAS technologies.

On the WLTP cycle, MG states that the smaller battery pack has a range of up to 350 km and the bigger one has a range of 452 km.

The Chinese EV manufacturer Build Your Dreams also introduced its newest offfering the Seal electric sedan. The vehicle, which will go on sale in India by the fourth quarter of 2023. Internationally it competes with vehicles like the Tesla Model 3. The Seal offers choices for both single-motor and dual-motor powertrains, as well as two battery packs: a 61.4kWh unit with a stated range of 550 km and an 82.5kWh unit (700km claimed range).
