Elon Musk, the new Twitter CEO, has hired an Indian origin engineer to help him build Twitter 2.0. Know all details.

Elon Musk, the “Chief Twit” has been making headlines in the media lately after his ascend to the throne of Twitter. The businessman tycoon, who also own Tesla, SpaceX and several other companies, has made his intention clear of building a new Twitter with his own set of personnel, which is why he sacked Indian-origin CEO Parag Agarwal and most of the top management after completing the buyout. However, Musk is now hiring new people to make the Twitter that he wanted, and this is what it feels like.

Musk has hired Sriram Krishnan, an Indian origin engineer to help him with building Twitter along with a bunch of other great people. Krishnan doesn’t reveal what exactly is his role at the new Musk-owned company, but he makes it clear that he is just working on a temporary basis and won’t be running for the seat of Twitter’s CEO.

“Now that the word is out: I’m helping out @elonmusk with Twitter temporarily with some other great people. I ( and a16z) believe this is a hugely important company and can have great impact on the world and Elon is the person to make it happen,” said Krishnan in his latest tweet.

While Krishnan is yet to clarify his role at Twitter 2.0, it is said that he will be a part of the core development team at Twitter under Elon Musk. Krishnan is not new to Twitter – the engineer had previously worked with Twitter from 2017 to 2019, leading the core consumer product team. On his LinkedIn profile, it says that he helped the company with a growth of 20 percent year on year.

Krishnan is credited to have worked on the home timeline, onboarding experience, search, discovery, a redesigned events experience, and lots more. Some of the recent tweets from Krishnan suggests that the company is working on a new verification process and the fundamental policies on hateful content not getting affected with Musk’s onboarding.

Musk, on the other hand, has been clear about his intentions with Twitter, marking his entry into the Twitter headquarters with a sink to let the image sink-in. Musk made it clear that he wants to promote free speech on the platform and make it a better advertising platform as well.
