0 68

Force restart your iPhone: This is crucial when your iPhone stops responding and a simple force restart can sort things out.

Have you often seen your iPhone struggling with the most basic things? Has your iPhone frozen while trying to make a payment, or sending lots of photos, or using some apps? If the answer is yes, you have come to the right place. Your iPhone, just like any other computer, can often struggle with loads and hence, may make it difficult to go about with your tasks. The obvious thing to do is to try to restart it but in some cases, the device simply stops responding to any input. Hence, what do you do in such scenarios?

Fortunately, instead of taking the iPhone to a service center, you can simply perform a Force Restart. Haven’t heard of it? As the name suggests, Force Restart is useful when the iPhone isn’t responding to regular loads and you need to force it into a restart procedure to get things going right again. The Force Restart procedure varies for different iPhone models and hence, we are here to help you with the process.

Force Restart on iPhone: How to do it

Step 1:

To force restart an iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XR, or any iPhone 11, iPhone 12, or iPhone 13 model, the process is easy.

Step 2:

Press and quickly release the volume up button. Then press and quickly release the volume down button. Next, press and hold the power button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

Step 3:

Remember: Press volume up, Press Volume down, and Press and Hold power button. Release it when Apple logo appears.

Step 4:

If you have an older version of iPhone such as the iPhone 8, iPhone SE 2 and iPhone SE 3, the process is largely the same.

Step 5:

Press and quickly release the volume up button, then press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

Step 6:

On an iPhone 7, you need to Press and hold both the volume down button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

Step 7:

On an iPhone 6S and iPhone SE 1st Gen, Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
