Glenwood Hot Springs Resort to add new pools with waterfalls by 2024

0 36

Glenwood Springs is a destination for those looking to soak in the natural hot springs, and soon, there will be even more ways to do so at its most well-known resort.

This week, Glenwood Hot Springs Resort announced plans to build a new swimming area with five pools, including several that feature waterfalls. Construction is now underway at the historic property, originally opened in 1888, and will not affect existing operations. The resort remains open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.

When it’s finished in 2024, the new swimming area will feature a hot plunge pool, a cold plunge pool, one pool with an infinity edge and two with waterfalls, including one that will be “grotto-like in nature,” according to a statement.

All the pools will be fed by the Yampah Spring, otherwise known as “the mother spring,” which boasts 15 natural minerals. There will also be shaded seating areas for guests.
