Google has ‘good news’ for Steam gamers on Chromebook

With this update, Chromebook users will be able to play Steam games straight from their app drawer. Previously, users needed to own a compatible Chromebook and enable a flag to access Steam games. Now, the latest update this is set to change.
Chromebook users who haven’t received the update yet can manually install it themselves. For this, users have to check the settings to see if the latest update is available for them or not.

After installing the ChromeOS 119 update, users will be able to find a new Steam icon in their app drawer. Clicking on the icon will open to install the full version of the app. Offering a quick shortcut to the Steam installer and not the complete app can be a nice move for Google as not all Chromebook users are interested in playing Steam games on their laptops.
