If you want, it can remember passwords for the various sites you visit, and it ties in with your Google account where those passwords are actually stored, of course. In this article, we’ll show you how to access your passwords in Google Chrome.

We’ll show you how to do it from both the Google Chrome Android app, and from the web client on your PC. It’s really rather simple to do, all you have to do is click through specific settings, and that’s it. Once you reach your destination, you’ll be able to check, edit, and remove passwords that are saved for you. You’ll also be able to tinker with some password-related features. That being said, let’s get started. Below, you’ll find a step-by-step guide on how to do this via both your app and web client, and we’ve also included some screenshots.

How to access your passwords in Google Chrome via web client

In order to access the ‘Passwords’ menu via Google Chrome’s desktop client, you’ll first need to click on the three dots in the top-right corner.

A pop-up menu will appear, with a number of options, one of which is ‘Settings’. It’s located towards the bottom, as highlighted below.

A new page will open, with a bunch of different menu options on the left side. You’ll notice the ‘Autofill’ menu, which is second in line, that’s where we need to go.

In the ‘Autofill’ section, you’ll spot the ‘Passwords’ menu, which is first in line.

There you have it, we’re in the ‘Passwords’ menu now. At the top, there are a number of Passwords-related options. You can, for example, prevent Google from automatically signing you in, and even prevent it from asking you whether to save a specific password. Google will, by default, offer to save new passwords you enter while browsing. Towards the bottom of the screen, you’ll see the ‘Saved Passwords’ section. That’s where all your passwords are stored. You can tap the three dots next to them to get more options.

Once you do that, a pop-up menu will appear, allowing you to copy, edit, and remove that specific password.

How to access your passwords in Google Chrome via the Android app

In order to access that same menu from your phone, you’ll need to launch the Google Chrome app, and tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
