How to archive pictures in Google Photos
The archive feature of Google Photos allows users to better organise their photos. The feature allows users to take some pictures from the image feed and then move them to a different section. The only advantage of the ‘Archive’ functionality is that the archived images won’t be shown in the image feed.
Any photos that you archive:
- Will still be in any albums that they were added to, search results, and folders on your device.
- Won’t be used to create movies or animations.
If you have a document, receipt, or photo that doesn’t look like it should be in your Photos view, you might get a suggestion card to move it to the archive.
Here’s how you can archive photos in Google Photos
Open the Google Photos app on your smartphone
Now sign in to your Google Account
After this select a photo
Now tap on more > More to Archive
Optional: To find any photos that you’ve archived from your Photos view, in the Google Photos app Photos, at the bottom, tap Library and then Archive.
