After this, if your phone starts receiving 5G signals meaning if you see a 5G logo at the top instead of the 4G logo, then not only the area has 5G, but currently, your phone is running 5G.
If that does not work for you, Airtel has a dedicated tool for its customers which tells whether the current location of the user is 5G-ready or not.
To use the tool, download and install the Airtel Thanks app on your phone. If you already have it installed, make sure that it is updated to its latest version.
Now, open the app and look for the option — Check if your phone is 5G-enabled.
Tapping on the option will automatically provide a couple of information.
If you see the message saying “You are in a 5G city”. Then your area is 5G-ready and if not now, at some point in time 5G services will be available in your region.
The second information you’ll see is if your phone supports 5G or not.
A couple of things you should note here. First, 5G services are currently available in select regions and cities. Even if 5G services have been launched in your city, it does not mean it is available in your area. For instance, Delhi is a 5G city and services are also available.
However, it is currently limited to a couple of locations like the Airport, around Pragati Maidan, Connaught Place, etc. Unfortunately, there’s no way to find that if the 5G services are available in a particular area.
