To customise your profile on Twitter, follow these steps:

Sign in to Twitter.com or open your Twitter app (iOS or Android).

Click or tap the Edit profile button.

Here, users will be able to edit their:

  • Banner image (image dimensions are 1500×500 pixels)
  • Profile photo (image dimensions are 400×400 pixels)
  • Name
  • Bio (maximum character limit- 160 characters)
  • Location
  • Website
  • Birth date (users will be able to decide who sees this information, but can only change the settings a few times.)

Click or tap into any of these areas and make your changes.

When changing a profile or header photo, click or tap the camera icon and select Upload photo or Remove.

It is to be noted that if you’re initially going through your profile set-up, you will not see the option to change your display name until you have a profile and header photo uploaded.
