How to get new weapons in Helldivers 2

0 13

Nothing against the Liberator; it’s a fantastic starting gun in Helldivers 2. But that doesn’t mean you want to stick with it forever, right? If you want to get new weapons in Helldivers 2, you should start diving and earning some precious medals.

You get new weapons in Helldivers 2 by unlocking them in the Warbonds — the game’s take on the Battle Pass. To find said Warbonds, you must open up the ‘Acquisition Center’ while in your Super Destroyer ship and enter the ‘Warbonds’ tab. You typically start there anyway, so it’s quick to locate. Open up the Warbond to check out all the unlockable items, which range from capes to guns. There is, however, one crucial step you need to complete before you can start expanding your arsenal.

New weapons in Helldivers 2 can be unlocked via Warbonds

To get new weapons in the Helldivers 2 Warbonds, you need to purchase them with Warbond Medals. The medals are earned when you complete missions in the game. Increasing the difficulty will also up the amount of Warbond Medals you can earn, so it’s good to keep aiming higher. Obviously, you should only play the difficulty that feels best for you.

Keep in mind that you only need to complete the Primary Objective of a mission to earn the medals. You do not need to survive. Your sacrifice in the name of Freedom and Liberty will never be forgotten.

There are multiple Warbonds containing new weapons in Helldivers 2. The first one is called ‘Helldivers Mobilize’. It’s free and offers 10 pages of items to unlock, including 11 new guns. There are also premium Warbonds that can be purchased with Super Credits, the game’s premium currency you can buy with real money or earn while playing. Premium Warbonds also contain new weapons to unlock across three pages of content.

How to equip new weapons in Helldivers 2

Once you find the weapon you want (it’s the Breaker on page four), you can equip it in one of two ways. The typical method to equip new gear is at your ship’s Armory, which is stationed between the hangar and bridge. Open the ‘Weaponry’ tab, where you can equip a primary and secondary weapon. These will make up your default loadout, which is what you’re set to before each mission.

The second way to change your gear is by choosing it before a mission starts. Hit the button or key next to ‘Stratagems’ and you’ll enter an equipment menu you can use to change your gear.
