How to pin recent contacts on Paytm for faster payments
We often find ourselves making payments to a select vendor, sellers and people on a regular basis using UPI apps. To make payment, usually we have to search the contact from the contact list and then make the payment. Or, we have to ask for a QR code to scan and pay.
To simplify this, Paytm has announced a new feature – pin recent payments – on its app. This allows users to pin a certain number of contacts on their Paytm app and access them quickly to make payments.
If you also face a similar challenge while making payments to regular people, here’s how you can pin them on Paytm app and make payments easily.
But, before that, one thing you should know is that this is a Paytm feature and it does not apply to other UPI apps. Also, users currently have the option to pin up to 5 contacts.
Apart from this, the feature only works for the contacts that are present in the apps’ Recents sections under the Scan & Pay option. This means, you can only pin the contacts that you’ve made the payment to recently.

Active UPI account
Paytm UPI and wallet must be active on Paytm
Steps to pin contacts on Paytm for faster payment
- Open the updated Paytm app on your smartphone
- Now, tap on Scan & Pay option under UPI Money Transfer section
- Slide up to expand the Recents section
- From the Recents section, long-press on a contact (payment) to see the Pin button.
- Tap on it to Pin the contact at the top
