0 26

Meta-owned platform WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature for iPhone users. The company has now introduced the ability to upload voice notes in WhatsApp Status. With this new update, the WhatsApp users on iOS will now be able to record a voice status on the app. This feature will enable users to share a voice note as a status update. These voice notes can be shared only with a certain audience configured within the user’s privacy settings.

The voice notes shared as status updates will also be end-to-end encrypted. This will ensure that only the contacts that users choose within their privacy settings will be able to access them. Just like images and videos, voice notes shared via status will also disappear after 24 hours.

Follow the below mentioned steps to record and share voice note in Status

Steps

1.

Open WhatsApp on your iPhone

2.

Now Go to the ‘Status’ tab placed at the bottom part of your screen

3.

After this tap on the floating button with the pencil icon placed at the bottom right corner of your screen

4.

Now tap on the microphone icon and start recording the voice note. You are allowed to record voice notes for up to 30 seconds

5.

You will now have to release the microphone icon when you are done with recording the voice note

6.

Now you can listen and review your recording and finally tap on the send icon to share your recording as a status update

Recently, it was reported that WhatsApp may soon introduce the report status feature for iOS users. Presently available in iOS beta, the feature gives users the ability to report status updates on iOS.
