How to turn off focused inbox in new Outlook

0 59

Microsoft-owned Outlook is another email service provider app that helps users to keep track of their incoming and outgoing emails. The app also features– calendar, task manager, contact manager, web-browsing, journaling, and note taking.

How does the Focused Inbox work Outlook

As the name suggests, Focused Inbox brings all the emails together keeping all the other emails in the Other tab. However, this tab is not used by the users frequently.

After disabling the Focus tab, all your emails will now be showcased under one tab (both important and unimportant emails). However, you can enable this feature again based on your requirement.

Here’s a suggestion from Microsoft, “If you don’t see the button, your version of Outlook might not include this feature. We often release new features to members of the Insiders program first. After that, we release them via updates to your Office programs. You can always check for updates by selecting File > Office Account > Update Options > Update Now.”

Prerequisites:
Microsoft account
Active mobile number registered with Outlook account (for receiving OTP)

1.

Launch the Microsoft app

2.

Login to your email account

3.

Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number

4.

Once logged in, browse the Settings button

5.

Swipe the Focused Inbox toggle off
