This time around, woman sportsperson Smriti Mandhana has added a new luxury car into her garage in form of a brand new Range Rover Evoque. The entry-level model from Tata Motors-owned British brand in India costs Rs. 72.09 lakh (ex-showroom).

An Instagram fan page of the Indian cricketer shared a photo on the social media handle, where Smriti is seen standing beside the luxury SUV decorated with garland. Although we can’t really make out whether it is a petrol or diesel model. As seen in the photo, it is finished in a Silicon Silver paint scheme and is the latest MY 2022 model. Talking about the vehicle, the Range Rover Evoque is available in a single R Dynamic SE model, where-in the SE is the specification pack.

The two powertrain options on offer are the D200 and P250. The D200 is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine paired to a mild hybrid system churning out 201 bhp and 430 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the P250 uses a 2.0-litre mild-hybrid four-cylinder turbo petrol engine which is good enough for 250 bhp and 365 Nm of peak torque. The former can go from 0-100 kmph in 8.5 seconds while the latter can hit the ton in 7.6 seconds. Transmission duties on both engines are handled by a 9-speed automatic gearbox and it gets AWD as standard.

In terms of pricing, Land Rover has priced both models at a similar sticker cost of Rs. 72.09 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV gets the R-Dynamic exterior pack as standard which includes a Dark Atlas RANGE ROVER bonnet script, Dark Atlas grille with Gloss Black surround, Body-coloured front bumper with Dark Satin Grey valance, Dark Satin Grey rear bumper with body-coloured valance, Burnished Copper side vents, Gloss Black door mirror caps – Dark Atlas RANGE ROVER tailgate script, Burnished Copper bonnet louvres, Burnished Copper exhaust finishers and more.

Other standard features on board the entry-level Range Rover include Signature Hi-Line tail lights, automatic headlights and automatic headlights levelling, rear fog lights, Approach illumination, Centre high-mounted stop light, headlight power wash and heated ORVMs amongst others. Inside the cabin, the Evoque is kitted with modern tech features such as 14-way adjustable powered front seats with memory function, Meridian Sound System, powered tailgate, 3D surround camera, driver condition monitor, latest Pivi Pro infotainment system, wireless charging, two-zone climate control system and more.
