Recently the country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki at the Auto Expo 2023 unveiled a special edition of its flagship mid-size SUV Grand Vitara called the Satin Black Edition. However, the people who got excited to book one for themselves were sadly reported that this model will not be coming to production. Instead, they can only purchase the standard Black Edition model from the Nexa showrooms which was also launched just a few days prior to the Auto Expo. So taking inspiration from Maruti’s Satin Black Edition Grand Vitara, a famous YouTuber got her Grand Vitara wrapped in a Satin Black wrap.

Recently a video was uploaded by HER GARAGE on her YouTube channel in which she was seen taking delivery of her newly custom-wrapped Grand Vitara in Satin Black. The video began with a teaser of this newly wrapped  SUV and the presenter tells that she recently showed the audience of her channel the Satin Black Edition of the Maruti SUV at the Auto Expo 2023, but hers is much better and unique. Following this, the presenter then covers and then uncovers the car to take the delivery of the Satin Black Grand Vitara.

After the unveil, the video than shows the newly wrapped SUV in a B-roll from all angles and later the presenter starts to explain the idea and thoughts behind the wrap of her car. She states that she is speechless after seeing the result and added that at first she was skeptical about the dechroming the entire car’s trims but finally after seeing it fully dechromed she concluded that this was the right decision. She then started a walkaround the car and highlighted the different details of her Grand Vitara.

First off on the front the YouTuber highlighted that the insignia of Suzuki on the Front has been wrapped in a chameleon wrap which is different from the entire and trims. Following this the presenter then brings the owner of the wrap shop to explain the further details of the car that they have meticulously wrapped. The owner of the shop then comes and tells that instead of going the matte black route they went ahead with a Satin Black wrap which has a slightly more shine than a matte black wrap. He also adds that they have blacked out each and every chrome trim on the car.

He further added that have smoked the LED DRLs at the front along with main headlights as well. Moving on the side the bottom details on the door were also blacked out with a gloss black wrap. Meanwhile in the rear as well the taillights and side reflectors and indicators have been blacked out. The owner highlighted that like the front the Suzuki logo at the rear has also been wrapped in a chameleon wrap to distinguish it from the entire car.

The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara in the Sigma and Delta variants, comes powered by the 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated K15C Dualjet petrol engine. It delivers 103 PS of power and 136.8 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, though the Delta variant is also offered with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Additionally, Zeta and Alpha variants of the SUV come with the K15C Dualjet petrol engine and Zeta+ and Alpha+ variants with a strong petrol-electric hybrid. This more advanced powertrain delivers a maximum power output of 116 PS and claims an astonishing fuel economy of 27.97 kmpl. The Zeta and Alpha variants of the SUV are the ones which have the least waiting period. Maruti Suzuki is also offering the Grand Vitara with the option of an AllGrip all-wheel-drive system in the Alpha manual variant with the K15C Dualjet petrol engine.
