New Turtle Beach controller could pair nicely with Samsung Gaming Hub

0 41

We often say that a controller is all the extra hardware you need to enjoy gaming on Samsung smart TVs in markets where the Gaming Hub platform is available. No PC or gaming console is required to play cloud games with Gaming Hub.

As it happens, Turtle Beach has announced a new premium controller for Xbox, Windows PCs, Android Devices with Bluetooth, and Supported Smart TVs. So, in theory, this premium Turtle Beach controller should work with Gaming Hub.

We haven’t tested it, but if Samsung’s TVs are supported (and we don’t see why they shouldn’t, given their worldwide popularity), it sounds like this controller could be among the most advanced solutions for Gaming Hub enthusiasts who want more than a standard Xbox controller.

It’s called the Stealth Ultra Wireless Controller and works particularly well with Xbox consoles due to its button configuration and Home button integration. It’s pricey, but it has some impressive specs.

Driftless analog sticks and a 1.5-inch screen

The Stealth Ultra Wireless Controller is undoubtedly aimed at the high-end competitive market. It boasts 30 hours of battery life on a single charge, wireless charging, and a 2-hour full recharge time when using USB 3.0 charging.

Turtle Beach claims this controller uses a “lag-free 2.4GHz” proprietary wireless connection and built-in Bluetooth technology. The controller also boasts anti-drift hall effect thumbsticks that use internal magnets for high precision.

Another impressive characteristic is the dynamic full-color display, featuring a dashboard that lets you control audio parameters and RGB color options, and even read notifications from your phone.

The Turtle Beach controller isn’t as cheap as a standard Xbox controller, which is still a great solution for Gaming Hub. The Turtle Beach controller costs $200, but for that price, you get more advanced analog stick technology and a few unique extra features.

Whether or not the Stealth Ultra Wireless Controller is worth it for Gaming Hub is debatable, given its high cost and the fact that Gaming Hub is more of an entry-level solution designed to make gaming affordable and available to most smart TV users.

Nevertheless, assuming it does work flawlessly with Gaming Hub, the Stealth Ultra Wireless Controller might be worth it if you want a competitive, hopefully long-lasting controller and plan to upgrade to an Xbox console later.

In any case, the Turtle Beach controller is now available for pre-order and will hit the market on December 15.
