OnePlus Buds 3 may debut alongside OnePlus 12 on December 4

The launch event of the smartphone will coincide with the company’s 10th-anniversary celebration. However, rumours suggest that the OnePlus 12 might not be the only device that the company launches at the event.

According to a report by FoneArena, the OnePlus Buds 3 has appeared on the FCC certification website with the model number E509A. The TWS earbuds have also reportedly been spotted on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) website. This suggests that OnePlus Buds 3 is set to launch in the country in the coming days.

Earlier in September, the OnePlus Buds 3 earbuds were tipped online. This leak showed the wearables’ expected design and revealed a few key specs of the same. OnePlus Buds 3 is likely to maintain the design language of its predecessor, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2.

As per the report, the upcoming earbuds are expected to arrive with a metallic finish on the in-ear module and stem while each earbud is likely to weigh 4.77g. The case is expected to house a 520mAh battery with 4.5W input and 1.2W output, while each bud is likely to pack a 58mAh battery unit.

For audio, the earbuds are likely to come equipped with a 10.4mm woofer, a 6mm tweeter, and 48dB of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). These earbuds are also likely to come with an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. Meanwhile, the matte-finished case is said to have an IPX4 rating.

The report claims that just like Buds Pro 2, the Buds 3 are also expected to offer 9 hours of battery life (33 hours of total battery life with case) with ANC off. Meanwhile, the earbuds may offer 6 hours (22 hours with case) of battery life with ANC on.

For connectivity, the earbuds may include Bluetooth 5.3, Google Fast Pair and dual connectivity support.
