Poco F5

Poco is set to launch two new smartphones in the F series – the F5 and F5 Pro. The company has teased the specifications of the Poco F5 Pro.

The company has revealed that the Poco F5 Pro will feature a WQHD+ display, which means it should have a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels. The display could measure 6.67-inch, and might come with a refresh rate of 120Hz. So far it is not confirmed, but the Poco F5 Pro might come with an OLED display with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. Furthermore, the display could have a peak brightness of 1400 nits.

The company’s promotional image of the F5 Pro further reveals the upcoming smartphone’s design. The F5 Pro has a power button and volume rocker on its right-side frame, while the bottom edge features a USB-C port, a SIM card slot, a speaker, and a microphone. There are no visible antenna lines on the phone’s frame, which means that the smartphone could have a plastic build.

Rumours are rife that Poco F5 Pro will be a rebadged Redmi K60. So, the Poco F5 Pro could come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, similar to the K60 Pro. Further, we can expect the smartphone to come with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage.

Further, the camera setup could include a 64MP primary sensor, paired with an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, the smartphone might have a 16MP sensor housed inside the punch-hole cutout.

The F5 Pro might boast a 5500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.

While the Poco F5 is also set to debut in India, the Poco F5 Pro is expected to first launch in Europe, then later make it to the global markets, including India. The Poco F5 and F5 Pro are set to launch on May 9.
