Sushmita Sen made a comeback to the OTT platforms recently. The actress bought a brand-new Mercedes-AMG GLE53 Coupe and shared a video of the car on her social media page. Sushmita bought the most powerful variant of the GLE SUV, which is the AMG variant and costs close to Rs 2 crore, on-road price in Mumbai. This is the first-ever AMG 53 series in the Indian market.
While most celebrities go for the likes of Maybach in this price range, Sushmita Sen chose an unusual vehicle. The actress chose the Mercedes-AMG GLE53 in an all black shade. She took the delivery of the vehicle wearing an all black attire as well.

The performance SUV-Coupe looks unique as well. It gets a coupe roofline with the stance of an SUV. Sushmita was soon spotted driving the new vehicle by herself. It is most likely that she will be seen in the driver’s seat most of the time as she loves to drive.
The all-new GLE Coupe AMG gets a distinctive rear-end with an integrated spoiler. The AMG model also gets a different vertically stacked Panamericana grille, 21-inch alloy wheels, turbo bashing on the front and an AMG exhaust.
The car also comes with dual 12.3-inch displays mounted to the dashboard. The screens work as an infotainment system and instrument cluster. The cabin also gets AMG-specific changes like the flat-bottom steering wheel, stainless steel pedals, and personalised upholstery options.
Gets a mild-hybrid system
The Mercedes-AMG GLE53 is powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder inline turbocharged petrol engine. It also gets a mild-hybrid system, which Mercedes-Benz calls EQ Boost. The engine produces a maximum power of 435 PS. The mild-hybrid system works to add an additional 22 PS and a peak torque of 250 Nm under heavy acceleration.
The power is distributed to all four wheels through the 4Matic+ system. The power goes through the 9-speed automatic transmission. It is a quick SUV and can do 0-100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. The top speed is limited to 249 km/h. There are many AMG-specific upgrades in the car too. It includes a sportier air suspension set-up, active dampers and upgraded brakes to handle the additional power.
The Mercedes-AMG performance exhaust system is also unique. It lets the driver choose how much sound should be produced. Also, there is Mercedes-Benz Active Ride Control that immensely reduces the body roll and improves the ride quality
The car comes with a head-up display, a four-zone climate control system, a 13-speaker Burmester sound system, heated and ventilated front seats with memory function, and four-way lumbar support. There is also a wireless phone charger, 64 colours of ambient lighting, connected car tech like remote engine start, panoramic sunroof and a powered tailgate. Mercedes-Benz also offers a package to add darkened elements to the cabin.
