Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G may debut as rebranded Redmi Note 12 Pro

Xiaomi‘s sub-brand Redmi launched the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G in October. The company is now reportedly working on the 4G variant of the phone.

According to a report by XiaomiUi, the smartphone has surfaced on the IMEI database hinting at the imminent launch. The device is likely to come as a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro. As per the listing, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G is codenamed as ‘sweet_k6a_global’, while the global variant is codenamed as ‘sweet_global’.

“It was originally planned to be available as Redmi Note 11 Pro 2023. However, some changes were made. Xiaomi has changed the name of its smartphone. Along with the Redmi Note 12 series, Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G will be introduced,” the report states.

Redmi unveiled the Note 12 series in China two months back. The series comprises the Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+ models.

Redmi Note 12 comes at a starting price of CNY 1,199 (approximately Rs 13,600) for the base 4GB RAM +128GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs CNY 1299 (approximately 14,600), while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs 17,000). Lastly, the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant comes at a price tag of CNY 1699 (approximately Rs 19,300).

The 8GB RAM+256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs 22,700). The top variant which has 12GB RAM +256GB storage costs CNY 2,199 (approximately Rs 24,900).

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is priced at CNY 2,099 (approximately Rs 23,000) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant while the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant costs CNY 2,299 (approximately Rs 26,000).
