Redmi Pad 2 specification leaked, likely to come with Snapdragon 680 chipset, 8MP rear camera and more

Xiaomi is reportedly planning to launch the next-generation Redmi Pad, which was launched last year in October. The upcoming device is likely to be named Redmi Pad 2 and ahead of the official announcement, a new leak about the tablet has surfaced online revealing key features and specifications of the device.

Twitter user Kacper Skrzypek who goes by the handle @kacskrz has posted some specifications of the alleged Redmi Pad 2 in a recent tweet. According to the tweet, the Redmi Pad 2 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 680 chipset and is tipped to feature a 5MP camera at the front.

Redmi Pad 2 is also expected to feature a 10.95-inch 1200x 1920 pixels resolution LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate. Apart from these the tipster has also revealed that the Redmi Pad 2 is likely to come with an 8MP rear camera and will run Android 13 operating system out-of-the-box.

If the above-said rumoured specifications of the upcoming Redmi Pad 2 is true, then the tablet will most likely come with some upgrades over its predecessor. For instance, the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset will be replaced with Snapdragon 680. Also, the display size is likely to get bigger from 10.21-inch to 10.95-inch.

However, the front camera on the outgoing model is 8MP and the updated model is expected to come with a 5MP sensor.

Note that Redmi hasn’t officially confirmed anything about the Redmi Pad 2 yet and we will get to know more about it closer to the launch. Meanwhile, we advise you to take this information with a pinch of salt until Redmi officially announces the tablet.
