Samsung Galaxy XCover7 rugged smartphone’s India launch marks the lineup’s debut in the country
The Samsung Galaxy XCover7 rugged smartphone, unveiled last month, was launched today in India, marking the XCover series’ debut in the country.
The smartphone has two versions – Standard and Enterprise, priced at INR27,208 ($325/€305) and INR27,530 ($330/€310), respectively. Both are the same phones, offered with different warranty durations. The Standard model has a 1-year warranty, while the Enterprise model comes with a 2-year warranty and a 12-month Knox Suite subscription.
Samsung told us customers of the Standard version can purchase the Knox subscription and additional warranty separately if they want, but doing so would make it costlier than the Enterprise model since an extra 1-year warranty costs INR1,800 ($22/€20) and a 12-month Knox Suite subscription costs INR3,500 ($42/€40), thus making the Enterprise version a more logical purchase.
Both versions will be sold through Samsung India’s EPP portal for corporates and institutions, while bulk purchase queries can be directed here. Talking about the hardware, the Samsung Galaxy XCover7’s Standard and Enterprise versions come with the Dimensity 6100+ SoC and Android 14-based One UI 6.
The smartphones have 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage onboard, expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. Both models pack 6.6″ FullHD+ LCDs, having Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection and increased sensitivity to support usage even with the gloves.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover7 sports a 50MP primary and 5MP selfie camera, and fueling the entire package is a 4,050 mAh removable battery with 15W charging (adapter not included).
The rest of the Samsung Galaxy XCover7’s highlights include an IP68 rating, MIL-STD-810H certification, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a programmable XCover Key for customizable shortcuts. The smartphone also has a POGO charging pin.
