Samsung announced the Galaxy A04e budget smartphone in October 2022. The South Korea-based tech giant is now working on a new handset which is expected to arrive with specifications similar to this year’s Galaxy A04e. The upcoming Galaxy M04 device has reportedly bagged several certifications including BIS, Geekbench and Bluetooth SIG. The phone’s support has also allegedly gone live recently. Now, a new report claims that the smartphone was spotted on Google Play’s console listing and Samsung India’s website with the model number SM-M045F/DS. The Google Play listing has not only revealed some of the key specifications but has also teased the front design of the device.
Samsung Galaxy M04 expected specs and design
As per the Google Play Console listing, Samsung Galaxy M04 is expected to feature an Infinity-V notch and thick borders around the display. The smartphone is likely to sport a 6.5-inch HD+ screen that will support a 90Hz refresh rate.
Just like several other entry-level devices, the Galaxy M04 may also come powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset. This chipset is based on a 12nm process and includes an IMG PowerVR GE8320 graphics unit. The Helio G35 chipset is likely to be backed by 3GB RAM.

Considering the upcoming smartphone to be an upgraded version of this year’s Galaxy A04e, the Galaxy M04 handset is expected to house a dual rear camera setup which will include a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth unit. According to a report by Sammobile, the upcoming device is also speculated to pack a 5000mAh battery unit that might support 15W USB Type-C fast charging.
The listing also reveals that the upcoming phone may run One UI 4 custom ROM based on Android 12. However, it is important to note that most Samsung devices have already received the Android 13 update and Galaxy M04 might also come with the latest OS out-of-the-box.
