• As per a report by Business Standard, the market research firm predicts Samsung will achieve an 18 percent volume market share by the end of CY23.
• This forecast indicates a notable change in leadership, with Samsung surpassing Xiaomi.

As per the market research firm, the South Korean tech giant is using various approaches to gain traction in the Indian market. They are effectively employing a distribution strategy that includes the Galaxy A series for offline channels, the F series for the online retailer Flipkart, and the M series as a significant player on Amazon.

Furthermore, the premium Galaxy S and Z series have been popular in India, playing a role in expanding Samsung’s market share.

The firm’s Quarterly Market Monitor report forecasts a shift in Samsung’s leadership position in terms of market share across 42 countries in 2023, a decrease from the 46 countries it dominated a year ago.

The analysis, covering a total of 74 nations, suggests that Samsung is likely to cede its top position in six countries, including the Philippines, while simultaneously regaining the lead in two nations, India and Malaysia. Specifically, Samsung is expected to lose its first rank in four countries this year.
