Microblogging platform Twitter faced outage, globally, on Saturday as thousands of users reported issues with the service. They complained of seeing the “ cannot retrieve tweets” error message when they try to view or post tweets.

According to Down Detector, a website that tracks online service disruptions, around 500 reports related to the issues with Twitter were reported around 9 PM.

According to the Down Detector, 44% of users in India reported issues with the app while 40% of users reported issues with the website.

On Saturday evening, #TwitterDown started trending on the platform in India. Users reported receiving the message ‘rate-limit exceeded’ on their For You page. Some users reported a “Rate limit exceeded error message.”
