Anthropic’s Claude 3 models outperform GPT-4 and Gemini Ultra in tests

Anthropic announced on Monday a new family of AI models, collectively called the Claude 3 model family. As is commonly done, the company released three different sizes of models, each with a varying balance of intelligence, speed, and cost. The largest of the new models, called “Opus,” outperforms both OpenAI’s and Google’s most advanced models, GPT-4 and Gemini Ultra, respectively, on tests measuring undergraduate level expert knowledge (MMLU), graduate level expert reasoning (GPQA) as well as basic mathematics (GSM8k),…

Anthropic’s Claude 3 chatbot claims to outperform ChatGPT, Gemini

Released on Monday, the third version of Anthropic's Claude AI is being touted as more skilled and knowledgeable and better at reasoning than OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini AI.Though Claude 3 is a single product, it offers three different models. The Opus and Sonnet models are now in play through the Claude 3 website and API for developers. The faster Haiku model will be available soon, according to…

Anthropic’s ChatGPT rival, Claude 2, just got a massive upgrade

Anthropic’s Claude 2 is probably one of the closest competitors that OpenAI’s ChatGPT has. Now, the company has made its AI chatbot even more appealing for users, upping the number of tokens it can translate at one time. The new Claude 2.1 update, now available, ups the total token context window to 200K, allowing the bot to translate roughly 150,000 words of material at once. On top of adding more context tokens, the upgrade also has halved Claude’s hallucination rate – the rate at which it creates answers…

Anthropic’s ChatGPT rival Claude can now analyze 150,000 words in one prompt

OpenAI rival Anthropic launched Claude 2.1 today. The latest version of the ChatGPT rival boosts its context window to 200,000 tokens, allowing you to paste the entirety of Homer’s The Odyssey for AI analysis. (Tokens are chunks of text it uses to organize information, and a context window is the set limit of tokens it can parse in a single request.) The company said version 2.1 also halves Claude’s hallucination rate, leading to fewer erroneous answers (like those the ChatGPT lawyer trusted far too much). Coincidentally…

Anthropic’s updated ChatGPT-rival offers more detailed, less offensive responses

That means Claude 2 can understand and process over 70,000 words at once, leading to better and longer responses. The AI can process hundreds of pages of documents, Anthropic says, and output much longer documents, including short stories. Also: Six skills you need to become an AI prompt engineerFurther showing how intelligent its new AI is, Anthropic noted the latest model of Claude scored a 76.5% on the multiple-choice portion of the bar exam, an improvement from the previous version's score of 73%. Anthropic’s Claude AI is guided by 10 secret foundational pillars of fairness

Despite their ability to crank out incredibly lifelike prose, generative AIs like Google's Bard or OpenAI's ChatGPT (powered by GPT-4), have already shown the current limitations of gen-AI technology as well as their own tenuous grasp of the facts — arguing that the JWST was the first telescope to image an exoplanet, and that Elvis' dad was an actor. But with this much market share at stake, what are a few misquoted facts against getting their product into the hands of consumers as quickly as possible?  The team over at…
