Paramount is merging its linear TV channel Showtime and the premium version of the streaming service Paramount+. This will be rebranded as ‘Paramount+ with Showtime’.   First reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the rebranded TV channel and streaming tier are set to launch later this year. YouTube is bringing premium streaming services into its main app with a new feature called Primetime Channels. Sports journalist Rachel Nichols has landed a new gig in Showtime’s sports division, a year after ESPN canceled her show and removed her from basketball coverage.
