Taylor Swift Supports Travis Kelce at Packers-Chiefs Game

Sunday night may not have been victorious for the Kansas City Chiefs, but for Swifties keeping an eye out for the singer at the Chiefs’ face off against the Green Bay Packers, the evening offered touchdown after touchdown.

Wearing a long red teddy coat over an all-black outfit, Taylor Swift arrived to support boyfriend Travis Kelce at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Sunday Night Football on NBC account on X (formally known as Twitter) showed footage of the two walking into the stadium together.

Inside the stadium, Swift and Mahomes watched the game from a VIP box, where the 12-time Grammy winner could be seen documenting the action on the field amid a flurry of snow, before turning the camera on herself and Mahomes.

Sunday’s game was the fifth Chiefs game that Swift has attended since she started dating the team’s tight end. Fans have embraced the relationship to the point where instead of jerseys emblazoned with Kelce’s name, T-shirts now say Taylor’s Boyfriend with Kelce’s No. 87 on it.

It turns out, however, that no lucky charm is fool proof and Sunday night marked the first time the Chiefs have lost with the singer in the bleachers.

Earlier this weekend, Swift and Kelce were spotted with the Mahomes at a holiday party in Kansas City. Locals spotted the duo at holiday pop-up bar Miracle on Friday night where the Chiefs were having a holiday party. While the Mahomes wore matching reindeer onesies, and Chiefs tight end Blake Bell and wife Lyndsay dressed up as Christmas trees, Kelce and Swift appeared to take a more relaxed approach to the costume mandate. (Though rumor has it the two wore Christmas sweaters with squirrels on them, to make fun of Kelce’s old tweets misspelling the animal.)

It has been a busy week for Swift, who last week made an appearance at the London premiere of Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, the documentary concert film capturing the creation and execution of Beyoncé’s acclaimed 2023 world tour. Swift showed her support for the musician who made a special appearance of her own at the Los Angeles premiere of the concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour back in October.

Swift also recently closed out the The Eras Tour in South America. She will pick back up again in February 2024 with four nights in Tokyo. Those dates notably conclude February 10, or a night before the Super Bowl, in case someone in particular is playing in the Big Game.

Kelce, on his part, recently released a reworking of the Pogues’ mordant Christmas hit “Fairytale of New York,” which he and brother Jason Kelce retrofitted with cutesy lyrics about feeling brotherly love in the City of Brotherly Love. “You took my dreams from me,” elder brother Jason sings at one point. “When mom first had you.”

Jason recently revealed that he’d unwittingly issued a call to arms for the song by tweeting that he was happy the song had made it to Number Eight on iTunes’ chart. “I got like 85 tweets from Swifties across the world being like, ‘You think eight is good? We’re taking this to Number One,” he said on his podcast, according to Entertainment Tonight. “It’s a powerful group of people.” And indeed, the song made it to the top of the chart.
