The Future of Gaming is Here! TECNO Pocket Go Transforms Playing on the Go

0 32

TECNO has arrived in Barcelona, Spain, for Mobile World Congress with an interesting new product. It’s an industry-first Windows AR Gaming set. TECNO is calling it “Pocket Go.” It combines AR glasses and a Windows handheld, making it a lightweight and portable set that promises to bring users a brand-new immersive AR gaming experience. TECNO says that this is the world’s most compact AR Windows handheld.

The headset offers a 0.71-inch Micro-OLED screen, which can emulate the experience of a 215-inch television from six meters (about 19.6 feet) away. It gives gamers an expansive view with a high-quality, cinema-like viewing experience. It’s also equipped with adjustable diopter settings of up to 600 degrees. This helps to cater to users with varying visual requirements, ensuring greater eye comfort during play.

The Windows Handheld is about 50% smaller and 30% lighter than standard Windows gaming handhelds, with a form factor that resembles the convenience of a smartphone. TECNO did not forget about the ergonomics here either, making it a joy to use and play for hours on end.

TECNO’s 6D Immersive Experience

With Pocket Go, TECNO is talking about the ultimate immersive 6D experience. This is thanks to the six-axis gyroscope and a powerful AI algorithm that enhances real-time data collection from the glasses, capturing head movements with remarkable precision. TECNO’s unique vibration enhancement algorithm, N’BASS, is also on board, which is able to convert in-game sounds into nuanced vibrations. Giving the user an incredible auditory experience that resonates.

TECNO says that the headset and handheld combination allow users to engage with the gaming environment more fully through both visual and tactile feedback.

Pocket Go also comes with the TECNO Smart Box, which is a central hub for managing games and settings. Along with the AR gaming functionality, Pocket Go is able to effortlessly transition into a mobile workstation within the TECNO ecosystem, capable of connecting with the TECNO MEGA MINI M1, TECNO Smartphones, and other smart devices.

So far, there’s no pricing nor release date for TECNO Pocket Go. But we hope to learn more this week at Mobile World Congress. TECNO is showcasing the Pocket Go, as well as many other devices at its booth in Barcelona.
