Motorola’s budget 5G offering, which, by the way, is one of the cheapest 5G offerings in some markets, is about to be released in India as well. The Motorola Moto G62 5G launched last month on the global market, while India is yet to get it on August 11.

The interesting bit about this announcement is that the Indian version of the handset will offer a more powerful chipset. The European version we are currently reviewing runs on the Snapdragon 480+, while Motorola confirms that the Indian iteration will come equipped with a Snapdragon 695 chipset.

The rest of the specs are likely the same, but it will be interesting to see if Motorola managed to maintain the rather low price of €200 or it was able to shave off a couple of bucks for the emerging Indian market. After all, historically, India gets cheaper phones than Europe and the US.
