Toyota’s Taisor and Raize SUVs based on Maruti Brezza & Fronx: Rendered by artist

As we all know, two of the biggest Indo-Japanese carmakers, Maruti Suzuki India Limited and Toyota Kirloskar Motor, have formed a strategic partnership to share vehicles and technologies. As a result of this partnership, we have seen models like the Baleno and Glanza twins, along with the Vitara Brezza and Urban Cruiser twins. Recently, we have also seen the Grand Vitara and Urban Cruiser Hyryder twins. Continuing this theme, it has been reported that Toyota it all set to introduce badge-engineered versions of Maruti Suzuki’s new Brezza and Fronx twins.

Numerous reports suggest that the first model the company could launch will be the Fronx-based twin, which could be named Taisor. Rumors about these models have been circulating since Toyota India filed a trademark for this name. Additionally, the company has filed for a trademark for Raize, which is most likely to be the Maruti Suzuki Brezza-based sub-compact SUV.

Recently, a render of the forthcoming Brezza-based Raize has surfaced online, showing us how this model could potentially look in the coming months. From the rendering, we can see that the model will be built on the same platform, which means it will be almost identical in dimensions and architecture. We can expect a few exterior design changes on Toyota’s Raize to differentiate it from Maruti Brezza.

From the render, we can see that the Raize could potentially borrow design cues from its elder sibling, the Toyota Fortuner. It could have a similar grille and a different style front bumper. Unfortunately, there are no renders of the rear or side profile of the car, but we can anticipate that it will be slightly different from the Brezza to set it apart and attract different buyers.

Another render that has surfaced online is the Fronx crossover-based Taisor. From the picture, we can see that it will have a completely different fascia than the Fronx. Toyota will most likely go for a more aggressive-looking front end with a new grille, new headlamp setup, and a different style of bumper. Like the Brezza, the Taisor also has no other renders, so we will have to wait a few months or weeks before we get any new spy shots of these models on the roads.

As mentioned above, both of these models will utilize the existing architecture used in Brezza and Fronx. Therefore, we can expect the dimensions, powertrain options, and feature lists to remain the same. Currently, there are no exact dates or whereabouts of these models, but we can expect them to launch in the coming months.
