The extended version of Thar is expected to be known as Armada, which will hit the market in the second half of this year.

The Mahindra has been working on its upcoming 5-door Thar for quite a long time. Now, it seems like the brand is almost ready as the off-road SUV is getting spied more nowadays during the testing phase. Again! a fresh video has surfaced on the internet, showcasing the vehicle and revealing its door-pattern setup.

The viral clip has been shared on the photo-sharing application Instagram, where it has been claimed that the 5-door was spied in Mussorie. In a shared clip, the vehicle was seen in heavy camouflage, featuring Mahindra XUV 500-inspired vertical door handles.

In the video, it can be seen that a man coming out from the updated Thar from the back seat, and closing  its vertical designed door handles. The clip also showed new updated alloy-wheels, which somehow enhancing its overall charm.

The four-wheeler was also seen having updated LED headlight setup, complinented by new LED DRLs.

Engine Options

It has been reported that stretched Thar will come with a bigger 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will support all car connect technology. It will also likely to offer high qaulity sound sysstem to make it more premium. Under the hood, it will continue to be powered by 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol and 2.2-liter diesel engine options. The model will be offered in four-wheel-drive capablities.

Launch Date

Meanwhile, extended version is expected to be known as Armada, which will hit the market in the second half of this year, while the product for the same is likely to begin in June. However, the brand is yet to drop official details regarding the same.
